Yesterday, Maker Media held their Maker Faire introductory meeting at Betahaus, and we were invited with the Wearable Berlin meetup crew!
The Maker Faire, which was establish by Dale Dougherty in 2006 is a family friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and is a celebration of the Maker movement. Since its launch in Bay Area, San Francisco, the Maker Faire has been very popular in Hannover and now it opens its doors to the makers of Berlin.
Many makers are hobbyists, enthusiasts or students – but they are also a wellspring of innovation, creating new products and producing value in the community. As the movement has gathered increasing momentum, so do the ideas and creations that emerge. The evening was a spectacular gathering of fascinating and curious people who love what they do and want to share their creations with everyone. It was a chance for interaction with others makers and truly enriched the maker community.
We were able to speak about the Trafo Pop brand and it provided a great platform to share our message with other tech enthusiasts.
This years Maker Faire will be held at Postbahnhof on 3rd and 4th October – to find more about this event, visit their website
